In May we were very fortunate to be allowed to use an area of woodland near the school to develop our very own Forest School.

Forest School is an initiative which offers our pupils the opportunity to reconnect with nature in a magical and stimulating setting.

This powerful approach encourages children to be independent, self-motivated, courageous, considerate and sets them up for life long learning. It particularly supports the development of self-esteem and self-confidence.
I would like to thank Swinton Estate for allowing us to use their woodland and also the Friends of Kell Bank for providing the school with waterproofs and tools to help us deliver our Forest School Programme.
