School will be closed today Wednesday 1st December due to the snow. We will reopen tomorrow weather permitting.

Reminder: Pupil Council Jumble Sale is planned for Friday at 2.00pm. All contributions welcome.

Kell Bank - Leeds Pals Memorial Service

On July 1st, pupils from years 5 and 6 and Mrs Allison attended the annual Service of Remembrance for the Leeds Pals at the monument at Breary Banks.
This date marks the anniversary of the start of the Battle of the Somme in 1916 when hundreds of members of the regiment were killed and wounded.
The climax of the service was the release of twelve white doves by Tamsin and Michael.

Artsmark Gold!

We are delighted to announce that despite a rigorous new reapplication process, Kell Bank has retained its Gold status!

The award recognises schools that demonstrate a commitment to the arts, providing opportunities across all art forms from drama to music, design to literature, dance to sculpture. The scheme also encourages schools to work in partnership with artists and arts organisations.
An Artsmark award shows how much a school cares about the arts in education and is the highest level a school can attain. Well done to everyone.
