SCHOOL UNIFORM
The school has a smart, practical and inexpensive uniform which we expect each child to wear.
The uniform:
Dark green sweatshirt with school logo
White or dark green polo shirt
Grey or black trousers (not jeans)
Grey skirt or pinafore
Purchase: Items may be purchased at reasonable cost through the school
Second-hand: the school also holds second-hand items at very low cost
Assistance: Any family experiencing financial difficulty may approach the governing body – via the head teacher – to discuss a possible subsidy.
In the interests of safety, jewellery must not be worn at school. Studs may be worn in pierced ears. However, parents should note that these will have to be removed for PE, games and swimming. Security of such items is the responsibility of the pupil. We ask that the children bring a robust container for these and place them when not being worn in the charge of the teacher.
Draw string bags for PE and Book Bags can be purchased from school. Please ask at the office for details of these.
Specialist Clothing
Art/Craft
An apron or old adult shirt is provided by the school for craft or art to prevent damage to clothing.
P.E.
For P.E. the shorts should be black or navy, and the tee shirts white or green, plimsolls may also be worn. These items should be brought to school in a drawstring bag that can hang on a peg.
Games
The children require sports shorts and shirt. Trainers are essential for outdoors. Boots will be required for winter games on the field. Please bring games equipment in a small bag (plastic carriers are discouraged).
Swimming
The children should wear one piece costumes or trunks. (Not beach shorts or two pieces).
